Ultimate Bacon Jam Burger
Stack it high with our Bacon Onion Jam for a burger that will ruin all other burgers for you.
Ingredients
- 1.5 lbs ground beef (80/20 blend)
- 4 brioche buns
- 4 slices sharp cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup Hack n Sons Bacon Onion Jam
- 4 leaves butter lettuce
- 4 slices ripe tomato
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Mayo for spreading

Instructions
Form the patties
Divide ground beef into 4 equal portions. Form into patties slightly larger than your buns (they'll shrink). Make a small indent in the center of each patty. Season generously with salt and pepper.
Cook the burgers
Heat a cast iron skillet or grill over high heat. Cook patties for 3-4 minutes per side for medium-rare, or to your desired doneness.
Add cheese
In the last minute of cooking, top each patty with a slice of cheddar. Cover to melt.
Toast the buns
Butter the cut sides of the brioche buns and toast until golden.
Assemble
Spread mayo on the bottom bun. Add lettuce, tomato, the cheesy patty, and a generous spoonful of Bacon Onion Jam. Top with bun.
Serve
Serve immediately with your favorite pickles and fries.
Chef's Tips
- •Don't press down on the burgers while cooking - you'll lose all those juicy drippings
- •Let the meat rest for a minute after cooking for juicier burgers
